Grade 4 to grade 6
“He fully transformed my maths abilities.”
LilyStudent
Lily began tuition after finishing Year 10 with a Grade 4. They went on to achieve a grade 6 in GCSE Maths.
But their testimonial says far more than the final grade:
“Boaz not only helped my maths abilities improve, he made me feel so much more secure and confident going into maths exams.”
Lily
They even described a complete change in their relationship with the subject:
“He even had me thinking that I actually enjoyed maths.”
Lily
And as the GCSE exams approached:
“Towards the exam period as well, we did 2 hour sessions which were very beneficial to be able to do practice exam papers together, and he could explain and talk me through the more complex exam questions.”
Lily
Their conclusion:
“I highly recommend him as he fully transformed my maths abilities.”
Lily
Improved attainment. Increased confidence. A completely different relationship with Maths.

Grade 2 to grade 4
He needed a pass. He got his grade 4 from grade 2.
LincolnStudent
Following his GCSE results, Lincoln sent this message, and his parent independently messaged. Both are below, as they arrived.
In just four weeks of focused tuition using the Clarimetic Method, Naomi moved from 14/25 to 30/35 across her assessments.
Her sessions focused on identifying specific gaps, explicitly teaching the skills she was missing, giving her targeted practice and then reassessing her understanding.
Four weeks. Measurable progress.

MaryamStudent
Starting assessment: 9/25, 36%. Later diagnostic: 26/35, 74%.
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
After one of Maryam’s sessions, her parent told us:
“She actually said it was really good and in her own words: ‘for the first time I learnt how to work out certain percentages!’”
Maryam’s parent
Her parent continued:
“She said she realised she needs to do more work on increasing and decreasing a number by a percentage.”
Maryam’s parent
From struggling with percentages to explaining what she had learnt and identifying what she needed to work on next.

Grade 3 mock to grade 5
Grade 3 to grade 5
RubyStudent
Two grades of GCSE Maths progress.
Ruby describes her experience in her own words:
“During my GCSEs, I wasn’t very good at Maths. I went from getting a 3 in my mocks to a 5 in my actual exams, all because of Mr Adelekan.”
Ruby
“That’s two grades up, and I genuinely wouldn’t have been able to do it without him.”
Ruby
Ruby also credits the relationship and support she received:
“After my Year 13 exams, I ended up achieving triple distinctions, largely because of the trust and respect I had in him and his teaching.”
Ruby
From a Grade 3 mock to a Grade 5 in her actual GCSE Maths examination.

GCSE Maths grade 5
“Boaz established a good connection immediately with my 15 year old son, and was able to find points of reference to help him relax and get him talking.”
HayleyParent
Sometimes the problem isn’t simply ability.
A student may be disengaged, lack confidence or simply need somebody who can get them working.
But what happened during the session stood out:
“Harry said he did more work in a single session with Boaz than he did in the entire week at school.”
Hayley
And that work translated into confidence:
“This meant he covered a lot more practice material and was able to confidently achieve the secure grade he was aiming for.”

Grade 8, and further maths 6
A grade 8 in maths, and a 6 in further maths
ErinStudent
“Boaz was a wonderful maths tutor, who aided me in GCSE Maths and further maths. He was great at explaining questions and helped me to get useful, weekly guided practice in. His work helped me to achieve a grade 8 in maths, as well as my 6 in further maths. I was especially chuffed with further maths, as I was put in last minute and didn’t get to do much revision for the subject outside of our tutoring. Overall, he has a great energy and a clear talent for teaching maths, a very good resource for anyone who needs that extra help to achieve their goal grades in maths.”
Erin, from Coventry
But Clarimetic isn’t just about a number.
We want students to understand what they’re doing.
The results matter.
But so does the student who says: “For the first time I learnt how to work out certain percentages!”
The student who goes from believing maths “wasn’t suited for me” to saying they actually enjoyed it.
The parent whose child says they completed more maths in one tuition session than they had during an entire week at school.
And the student who finally gets the GCSE Maths grade they needed.
That’s what we’re building at Clarimetic.
The Clarimetic Method
Why does the Clarimetic Method work?
01Diagnose
We don’t guess what a student needs.
Students are assessed so that we can identify the precise gaps holding them back.
02Teach
Difficult concepts are broken down into clear, manageable steps.
Making Mathematics Clear isn’t just our tagline. It’s how we teach.
03Embed
Understanding something once isn’t enough.
Students complete targeted practice designed to build fluency and independence.
04Assess
We regularly check whether learning has actually stuck.
Parents shouldn’t have to wait until GCSE results day to discover whether tuition is working.
05Adapt
Assessment results determine what happens next.
Weak areas receive further attention. Secure areas allow us to move forward.
Who teaches
Taught by Boaz.
Boaz is a full-time maths teacher at a London secondary school, and the tutor behind every story on this page. He has taught GCSE Maths at Foundation and Higher, and he teaches the Clarimetic groups himself.
Away from the classroom he is a working poet and speaker, with work for Sky Arts, Nike and the Arts Council. In a lesson, that shows up as energy, and as a knack for explaining a hard idea in a way that stays explained.
A short video from Boaz goes here in the next version.

Book a call with me.
A free 15-minute call with Boaz. Tell him where your child is now, and leave knowing what would help them most.
Book 15 minutes and tell me about your child. I’ll ask where they are now and what they’re aiming for, then tell you how Clarimetic would work for them. Whether you go ahead is up to you.
I start by understanding your child.
Where they are now, the grade they need, and what is getting in the way.
You hear how it would work for them.
The group that fits, the times, and what it costs. Answered on the call, not in a follow-up email.
You leave with the next step.
Fifteen minutes, then the decision is yours. No pressure either way.
Questions
Questions parents ask
What is the free diagnostic?
A short set of multiple-choice questions on the topics that come up most in the GCSE exam. You see where your child is now and what to focus on first.
Who is it for?
Students in Years 10 and 11 working towards their maths GCSE, on the Foundation or the Higher paper.
How big are the groups?
Small groups of 4 to 6, so every student gets attention and nobody can hide.
What happens after the diagnostic?
We send the full result and a plan to start. Then you decide whether a group is right for your child.
Is this for Foundation or Higher?
Both. The diagnostic tells us which paper fits, and groups are set by paper and by the gaps we find.
Where do the sessions happen?
Online, live, in a small group. Your child joins from home with a laptop or tablet.
